Frame 01: .44 Caliber Love Letter. Alexisonfire, Hindley Street Music Hall, Adelaide.
Frame 02: KIN. EP Release, Lion Arts Factory, Adelaide. All of my shots are within the pit. I never get passes to big shows, so I jump barriers to get my shots. With all of the hardcore stuff, I've got to do obligatory mosh photos and portraits within the pit, so I'm always getting smacked around. Whatever it takes to get the shot though, hey! – Caleb

Film: Kodak T-Max 400 / Kodak Ektachrome 100
Location: South Island, New Zealand
Frame 01: I spotted this tree randomly while walking the dog. I thought it was so wild how the tree had grown around the barbed wire, completely absorbing it. A friendly reminder to us humans that mother nature is always the boss. Shot on Kodak T-Max 400.
Frame 02: An abandoned, dilapidated cheese factory in the middle of nowhere. I think the blue hour hues really add to the feelings of isolation and sadness associated with the subject. Shot on Kodak Ektachrome 100. – Chris

Frame 01: A taco stand on Echo Park Avenue, Echo Park, Los Angeles.
Frame 02: Eli, San Francisco.
These images I shot during a photographic trip I took through the United States last year. Through this work, as well as the majority of the rest of my images, I desired to capture the beauty in the mundane. Whilst exploring New York and California with my film camera, my artistic intention was to tell a cinematic story of ordinary people living their everyday lives as well as the spaces they find themselves in; corners of city and suburban landscapes that may appear unattractive, boring at first glance or go completely unnoticed. There is an unspoken attractiveness to these places, in the way that they hold so much life lived there over time. When you capture a space, when you shoot images of ordinary people on film, you begin to see it in a new light. That's what I hope to translate through my work; how life is art. – Kate
